Licensed Grade A Raw Goat Milk Dairy

Dairy goats have been an invaluable source of food and milk since Biblical times. They were considered a necessity which the early settlers brought with them to the shores of our great nation. As the pioneers spread across our land, dairy goats went with them. These dairy animals have always been a part of the typical american farm scene just as they were in Biblical days. Today there are over 250,000 dairy goats of the six recognized breeds in this country. As dairy goat breeders we are active and involved in educating people about these graceful, loving creatures. Their delicious milk is wholesome and nutritious. To some it is called a miracle food with its distinctive characteristics that make it beneficial. The fat globules are smaller than those in cow milk and the curd is softer and smaller, making digestion easier. Those who are allergic to cow milk may tolerate and thrive on goat milk.
We have chosen to raise Nubian dairy goats. The Nubian is a relatively large, proud, and graceful dairy goat of mixed African, Asian and European origin. They are known for their high quality, high butterfat milk production. They are easily recognized by their long pendulous ears and roman nose. They are known as the most colorful of the dairy goat breeds. Their coats are short, fine and glossy.
Each member of our closed herd is registered with the American Dairy Goat Association. We offer animals decended from recognized herd names. All of our goats are tested annually for tb and brucellosis. We practice CAE prevention and vaccinate only for chlostridium and tetanus. The herd is free of CL absesses.
Our herd is rotationally grazed on our meadow which is maintained with all natural and organic products. They are also fed hay which has been cut and baled from our meadow. A dairy ration is given to the "ladies" during milking time which is supplemented with kelp, dolomite, black oil sunflower seeds, and various herbs and minerals. Essential oils and diamateceous earth are used to deter pests and maintain condition. We utilize an herbal worm compound. Antibiotics and chemical wormers are only used as a last resort and that animal is removed from the milking strand.
Our mentors in the dairy goat business have enabled us to feel blessed to work with such a nicely bred herd. Should you desire to purchase a goat or kid please contact us for availability and pricing.
